1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Mamori (“Mamori,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the Mamori iOS app, getmemori.app, and related support services.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you use Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple account identifier and, depending on your choices, your name and email address or Apple private relay address.
Promise and app activity
We process the alarms, habits, schedules, completion history, proof choices, streaks, trust score, salary, debt, pledged items, room state, purchase history, settings, and product interactions needed to operate Mamori.
Proof content
Eyes-open selfie verification is analyzed on your device using Apple Vision. The selfie is not uploaded or retained by Mamori after that check. If you intentionally attach a photo or note as habit evidence for a friend acting as referee, that content is stored so the selected referee can review it.
Motion and fitness data
For distance-based promises, Mamori may read step or distance information from Apple motion and fitness services after you grant permission. Mamori does not collect GPS location for pedometer-based distance proof.
Purchases and technical data
Apple processes App Store payments. We receive entitlement and transaction status needed to unlock membership and restore purchases. Our hosting providers may process standard technical logs, such as IP address, request time, device or browser information, and diagnostic events.
3. How we use information
- Operate alarms, habits, proof, referee, debt, room, and reward features.
- Sync your account and restore your state across supported devices.
- Confirm membership status and prevent abuse or fraudulent activity.
- Send notifications you request, including alarm, proof, referee, and seizure reminders.
- Respond to support requests and improve reliability.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use your information for cross-app advertising tracking.
4. Sharing and visibility
We share information only as needed to provide the service: with infrastructure providers such as Apple and Google Firebase, when you deliberately share a room, promise, or proof with a friend or referee, when required by law, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Your visibility settings control whether connected friends can view your room and relevant accountability activity. Evidence submitted to a referee is visible to that referee.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. You can permanently delete your account inside Mamori from Profile → Account → Delete Account. This removes your account and Mamori data owned by you. Deleting Mamori does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions are managed through Apple.
6. Your choices
You can control camera, motion and fitness, notification, Live Activity, and other permissions in iOS Settings. You can update visibility and notification preferences in Mamori, request access or correction by contacting us, and delete your account in the app.
7. Security and age
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Mamori is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. If you believe a child provided information improperly, contact us.
8. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and honor applicable privacy rights.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Mamori changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to privacy@getmemori.app.
